The Ape Drops Story
The Collection
Ape Drops made history in 2022 as the first NFT collection to be mintable with $APE. A collaboration between Snoop Dogg, Manifold.xyz, and the Ape Drops team, it was a Bored Ape-themed music NFT series spanning two drops and 12 exclusive tracks on Ethereum.
Each track was minted as an ERC-1155 NFT. The first four had approximately 8,000 editions each, originally priced at 12–15 APE (roughly $165–$210 at launch). Across both drops the collection features collaborations between Snoop Dogg (as his Bored Ape persona), Wiz Khalifa, Champ Medici, October London, We$, Spottie WiFi, Daz, Juicy J, Mr. Cap, and Xzibit.
